I conceptualized, designed, and developed the Arch Marketplace platform using WordPress and WooCommerce. The website features a responsive design, ensuring optimal user experience across all devices. Key functionalities include a robust vendor management system, secure digital product delivery, and an intuitive user interface that facilitates easy navigation and purchasing.
Beyond the obvious
To support the platform’s operational needs, I engineered a number of custom backend systems tailored specifically for digital product sales and architectural workflows:
Vendor Submission & Review Workflow: I built a custom vendor onboarding and submission system, enabling external architects to register, upload designs, and manage their listings. I also implemented an internal review and approval process to ensure that all submissions are vetted for quality and completeness before being published.
Design Asset Management: I created a robust digital asset management structure within WooCommerce, allowing vendors to upload multiple file types (e.g., PDFs, CAD files, renderings, animations), while ensuring secure delivery to buyers post-purchase.
Role-Based Dashboard Customization: I developed tailored dashboard experiences for vendors and administrators, with custom menus and access controls based on user roles, streamlining both the submission process and site moderation.
These systems provide full administrative oversight of submitted content and ensure quality control without relying on third-party plugins, maintaining both performance and flexibility within the WordPress ecosystem.
